Quality Manager

Our ideal candidate would be someone who has Manager experience as a tier one supplier for automotive. Specially, GM, Honda and Toyota. Our process in this facility is painting of plastic A surface automotive parts. For example: Bodyside moldings, license plate garnishes, rocker panels etc.

Our salary range is $80,000.00 to $95,000.00.


1. JOB TITLE DESCRIPTION:

1.1. The Quality Manager or designate is responsible to ensure the Quality Systems are being complied with by all departments

2. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

2.1. This position Directly reports to: General Manager
2.2. This position Indirectly reports to : Director of Quality

3. RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:

3.1.1 Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals
3.1.2 Interprets quality philosophy to key personnel in organization
3.1.3 Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation
3.1.4 Ensures facility conformance with QS 9000 requirements along with all other adopted quality systems
3.1.5 Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, design, test and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component
3.1.6 Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records
3.1.7 Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes
3.1.8 Decides whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor based on a review by the quality assurance engineer
3.1.9 Reviews all data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures
3.1.10 Ensure that sufficient resources are available for each department including training, safety requirements, personnel, work instructions, procedures, and related tools. To include training quality auditors on proper inspection techniques, record completion, gauging information.
3.1.11 Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities
3.1.12 Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation
3.1.13 Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team
3.1.14 Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous over materials, facilities and products
3.1.15 Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards
3.1.16 Plays active role on quality management teams within organization
3.1.17 Design and implements quality training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers
3.1.18 Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality
3.1.19 Quality System Management Representative


4. HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Quality Manager is responsible for complying with the Company Health & Safety Program including the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Industrial regulations, WHMIS regulations and Company Health & Safety policies. 5. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the following minimum education qualifications:

5.1. Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent
5.2. Recognized Technical Diploma in related area

6. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the following minimum work experience qualifications:

6.1.1 Must have 8-10 years of automotive quality assurance environment experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
6.1.2 Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.

7. MINIMUM TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the following minimum training:

7.1 WHMIS/MSDS
7.2 Quality, Environmental Health & Safety, and other relevant Company Policy awareness
7.3 New Employee Orientation (when required)

8. OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

8.1 Ability to perform well in high pressure situations
8.2 Must be able to be a leader to all employees
