| SOFTWARE DEVELOPER PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES Springboard Management provides software services to help support organizations’ management system implementations. The Software Developer will fulfill a key role on the team by helping to develop Springboard’s proprietary software solution and deliver the product to its customers. Springboard is looking for individuals with a combination of knowledge and skills that will allow them to take on a leadership role in the management of software development. The successful candidate will be highly-motivated and have a strong work ethic. Individuals who are eager to become part of a fast-paced corporate environment and who enjoy a challenge are encouraged to apply. RESPONSIBILITIES The Software Developer will be responsible for: -Supporting internal IT requirements such as PC issues and software or system troubleshooting -Report writing -Managing software installations and providing software support to customers -Performing minor software program changes -Reviewing enhancements to software functionality and confirming vendor quotes -Performing additional administrative functions and special projects as directed EXPECTATIONS AND COMPETENCIES -Strong SQL skills -Experience with report writing tools (e.g. BIRT, Jasper Reports, Pentaho, Crystal) -Experience creating software dashboards -Experience with Java development and deploying web applications -Ability to use Yahoo YUI took kit -Experience with software management and working with an outsourced development team -Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and manage deadlines -Strong sense of teamwork, self-motivation, and positive attitude -Demonstrate analytical problem solving and negotiation skills -Aptitude and eagerness for learning new software programs -Exposure to and understanding of consulting services and the ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships is an asset EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Programming or equivalent experience OTHER DETAILS Contract Type: Full-time Location: Windsor Compensation: TBD based on skills and experience | |
